A Rubric can be used to communicate the assignment requirements and acceptable performance standards to students. Interact2 rubrics allows you to mark assessments online and have the feedback and grade automatically recorded in Grade Centre.
Interact2 rubrics can be used to mark discussion boards, blogs, journals and wikis. A rubric can also be associated with other Grade Centre columns.
You can create a rubric from the control panel or add it to tools in the creation or editing process.
To create a rubric from the Control Panel in Interact2:

In the creation or editing process of these tools you select 'Grade' and then 'Add Rubric'. The picture is an example for the blog tool.
The rubric is not automatically shown to students, by associating the rubric to the task you make it available to them.
Once you have added a rubric you are able to select 4 options for rubric visibility:
The rubric will only be available to students when marks are available in the grade column.
From the Grade Centre open a student’s attempt.
When the rubric is open:
Once marking has been completed, unhide the Grade Centre column. When students view their marks in My Grades they will see a speech bubble icon next to the grade.
Clicking on this icon will show them comments entered in the main FEEDBACK TO LEARNER area, and also the summary feedback entered at the bottom of the Rubric.
There is a link to the Rubric underneath the assignment title (this example is the where the rubric has been used for a Journal) .
Clicking on this link opens the full Rubric grid in a new window.
Students can also view the rubric when looking at their submitted paper. They can click on the icon next to their mark to open up the Rubric in a new window.
