The Master of Clinical Psychology course provides registered psychologists with the opportunity to upgrade their qualifications, knowledge and skills to provide training in clinical psychology, with a specific focus upon the needs of rural and remote communities. In addition this course will instil an awareness of the importance of research in the development of professional psychology, and develop skills to undertake this research.
The Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Psychology course aims to provide for the completion of an integrated and comprehensive education in the discipline of psychology and to permit advanced level of study in a range of areas.

Admission criteria

Applicants must possess:
- personal suitability to undertake professional practice as a psychologist
- a four-year APAC-accredited qualification in psychology at Honours 2A level or better (or an equivalent qualification)

full registration as a psychologist
Articulation
The Master and Postgraduate Diploma [Exit Point Only] make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.
Graduation requirements
Master of Clinical Psychology
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.
Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Psychology [Exit Point Only]
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.

Accreditation
The current Master of Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council as a fith and sixth year course in psychology, and is approved by the Psychology Board of Australia. It is also approved by the Australian Psychological Society for the purposes of eligibility for entry into the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
The proposed changes are consistent with the requirements of APAC and the APS.
