AbstractTheatre in Australia is the second of two contextual subjects for students undertaking courses in theatre/drama. The focus of the subject is a number of issues regarding the theatre industry in Australia from the early nineteenth century to the present. In particular significant dramatic movements, playwrights and plays will be considered. In addition, a range of cultural, political and industrial developments which have had an impact on the industry are considered. |

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
