ASC581 Professional Industry Practicum 2 (8)
Abstract
The purpose of this subject is to either prepare students to enter or progress in their chosen career in a supported manner that encourages personal and professional development. This subject allows students to take the knowledge gained in previous subjects and apply it within a business/profession context. The practicum consists of 15 days of placement within an approved business, during which students are expected to be actively engaged in activity for no less than 7 hours per day.
During practicum, students are evaluated on a range of assessment tasks designed to encourage reflection of their own professional/personal development as well as improve their communication and interpersonal skills, technical competency, and self-learning and problem solving skills. |

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:

Work Place LearningThis subject contains a Compulsory Workplace Learning component of 15 days duration.
Students are required to spend 15 working days within a single industry placement. This industry placement must differ to that undertaken in ASC580 Professional Industry Practicum 1.
