Abstract
This subject requires research on an approved topic in political science and the submission of a dissertation of 15000 words. The student will devise this task in consultation with the dissertation supervisor.

Learning OutcomesUpon successful completion of this subject, students should:
- be able to undertake detailed research into a selected topic and present the findings of that research
- be able to demonstrate the use of higher level analytical skills
- be able to demonstrate familiarity with the scholarship of their chosen research field

SyllabusThe subject will cover the following topics:
- Student and supervisor work together to develop an appropriate reading and study program
- After setting the study program, the student will consult with the supervisor regularly to discuss work, and refine and devlope the project.
