You should conduct your own risk assessment before participating in any volunteer opportunities with an external provider and obtain your own independent insurance advice in respect of the proposed travel and activities to be undertaken.

You are not not automatically covered by University insurance but may apply for insurance cover for your volunteer placement through the Careers and Skills team.
