Single Subject students will incur SSAF fees starting from Session 2, 2024. HDR students will incur SSAF fees starting from Session 1, 2025
Most Charles Sturt students pay the Student Services and Amenities fee (SSAF). This fee goes towards providing non-academic support services and facilities for all our students.
For the calendar year 2025:
In future sessions, this list may be amended to include students not currently listed.
Students that pay SSAF
Students that don't pay SSAF
We'll send you an invoice each session. You'll need to pay your SSAF upfront by the census date each session unless you're deferring.
You can defer your fees as long as you're eligible for a SA-HELP loan. A SA-HELP loan will defer all or part of your SSAF.
Deferring your HECS or FEE-HELP liability doesn't automatically defer your SSAF liability. You'll need to defer your SSAF separately through SA-HELP.
Once your deferment arrangement is set up, it'll remain in place while you're enrolled in the same degree. If you enrol in a different degree, you'll need to reapply for SA-HELP.
Remember, if you're going to defer your SSAF, you need to do so before the relevant census date cut-off.
If you have not paid or deferred your SSAF, you will receive reminder notices after the SSAF due date. The University may withhold grades or prevent you from re-enrolling in future sessions if you have outstanding SSAF charges.
If you delete a subject prior to the relevant session census date, you will not incur SSAF charges or a SA-HELP debt.
To request data from a previous SSAF submission, send an email to enrolment@csu.edu.au.
Use "Previous SSAF Submission Data" in the subject line.
