This nine-day London study tour will provide you with a unique opportunity to visit a range of libraries and information agencies based in central London and Oxford University.
Through a structured program of talks and tours of facilities & services in London and Oxford, you will be introduced to concepts and practices within a diverse range of organisations. Proposed venues include the British Library, the National Archives, public libraries, government and special libraries and archives, school and university libraries.
This study tour provides an outstanding opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how various world class information agencies function to service their clientele and work to protect the cultural heritage of a major international country. The tour will also provide an understanding of the types of information work done abroad. Cultural experiences and networking opportunities with local Library Associations are also part of the planned program.
Participation in this program will also contribute to assessment requirements for your Charles Sturt University studies.

This program is offered by the Faculty of Arts and Education and the School of Information and Communication Studies.
You must be able to complete one of the following subjects in your Charles Sturt University degree structure.
Participation in this Program could result in a delay receiving 2024 Session 2 (202460) results.
All participants will also have to complete EEB310 International Cultural & Education Program. This is an online module that consists of a series of readings designed to assist students to prepare for the intercultural program.

Students may be eligible to apply for a Vice-Chancellor Travel Grant of $400. Students must complete all pre-departure requirements (see pre-departure tab) before payment can be made.
