The study tour to the Canadian Police College will provide students an opportunity to engage with international policing principles and engage with experts in the field.
Students will visit a number of historically significant sites that have shaped policing practice. Students will be exposed to internationally renowned scholars and practitioners and have the opportunity to explore Canada's capital city. The issues explored across the week are relevant to Australian policing principles, namely Indigenous issues, ethics, wellbeing, and operational matters. The week will enable students to look beyond the lens of their own practice, engage with peers, and expand their knowledge of policing in the 21st century.

The Canadian Police College in Ottawa exceeded my expectations with quality of accommodation, service and most importantly, the people who I shared it with! The Charles Sturt University contingent was composed with a broad array of Police, Civilian staff, students and intelligence officers. The discussions and case studies were interesting. The Ottawa scenery and nightlife kept everyone entertained after class and when Friday arrived everyone was genuinely sad to leave! I cannot thank Charles Sturt University Global Enough for selecting me for this opportunity!
