External Scholarships/Other Funding

Many of our exchange partners and foreign government bodies offer scholarships and grants to encourage you to choose them as your study abroad destination.

The eligibility requirements, conditions and application details differ, so make sure you read the fine print.

JASSO and MEXT Scholarships

JASSO provides a stipend of 80,000 Japanese Yen per month.

Our partner institutions in Japan may or may not choose to offer the JASSO and MEXT scholarships each round. If you are applying to an institution that is offering either scholarship, you may apply for the scholarship after you have been nominated by Charles Sturt University as part of your direct application to the partner institution. The partner institution will then decide which students are awarded scholarships.
