Program overview

Pagoda works with hundreds of companies around the world, from big crypto consultancies to sustainability start-ups. All host organisations are vetted to the highest standards to ensure they can provide consistently high-quality internships for all students, at the right academic level.

Please ensure you discuss any internship program you would like to participate in with your Course Director.  Academic recognition may be available as part of work integrated learning course requirements with prior approval from your Course Director.

Funding

Students may be eligible to apply for a Vice-Chancellor Travel Grant.

If you’re studying in a Commonwealth supported place you may be eligible for OS-HELP.

Program costs include

    Inclusions will vary from program but could include:

  • Placement costs
  • Accommodation for the duration of the program
  • In-country transport (including airport transfers) and transit for official program activities.

Program costs exclude

  • Flights to and from your the program host country
  • Visas
  • Personal expenses
  • Travel insurance
  • Charles Sturt subject fees

Pre-departure

All participants will be required to complete mandatory pre-departure requirements. This includes the provision and completion of the following

  • Flight Itinerary*:  submit a copy of your E-ticket .
  • Travel Insurance*:  ensure you have the appropriate medical and travel insurance from the day you leave Australia until the day you return.  You must submit a copy of your certificate of insurance and your Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). At a minimum your insurance must include:
    • Medical Expenses $500,000
    • Repatriation Expenses $15,000
    • Personal Liability $1,000,000
    • 24hr Emergency Assistance Included
    • COVID 19 cover
  • Passport:  submit a copy of the photo page of your passport
  • Pre-departure modules: You will be registered for online pre-departure training once we approve your application
  • Registration with World Travel Assist: The app provides immediate access to 24-hour emergency medical assistance (in the event that your own insurer is unavailable), security alerts and detailed country reports.
  • Student Declaration form: This will be provided with your acceptance email.
