Projects Abroad

Projects Abroad have been offering international experiences in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America/the Caribbean and the South Pacific for over 30 years.

Through volunteering and internship opportunities, Projects Abroad's programs all work toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and is one of the many reasons why Charles Sturt Global list them as one of their preferred partners.

Taking part in a Projects Abroad Program you will:

  • Explore a new country with like-minded travelers
  • Contribute to a program that will have a meaningful and real impact
  • Be supported by staff who in some instances have participated in a Projects Abroad program
  • Receive support before leaving Australia right through until you return home.

Be sure to discuss your plans with your Course Director, just to ensure you will not be at risk of missing any important dates.

The whole experience has motivated me to explore opportunities for international OT work and advocate for disability rights on a global scale. It will undoubtedly continue to shape my approach as a future Occupational Therapist, particularly in working with diverse communities and advocating for inclusive, person-centred care.
