Interdisciplinary International Health program - Kiribati

This program is subject to change. The information below will provide an insight into what to expect on a future program

Are you a health student looking for an extraordinary learning adventure? Look no further! This overseas program offers a unique opportunity for students like you to engage in an interdisciplinary workplace experience in exciting and unique environments!

Kiribati is an intriguing and complex country, offering a unique backdrop for healthcare services. Its small populations across outer islands create logistical puzzles that will sharpen your problem-solving skills. Live among the palm trees, surrounded by the beautiful Pacific ocean, this is an island getaway like no other.

Just like rural Australia, Kiribati faces geographic and environmental barriers in the delivery of healthcare. Learn how to navigate these obstacles and make a difference.

Take this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Kiribati’s captivating landscape and fascinating healthcare system while building interdisciplinary connections, expanding your knowledge of healthcare delivery and developing your adaptability and resilience working in a complex resource-constrained environment.

Your program will start in Nadi, Fiji where you'll meet to undertake program briefing and orientation with your academic leader and in-country host.  Day two will see you arrive in Tarawa, Kiribati where you'll complete your program; working and learning alongside your multi disciplined  colleagues and local healthcare professionals.
