During this program you will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of working alongside paramedics in the East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), UK.

This Program will provide students the opportunity to learn how paramedic services are delivered within the UK ambulance services. Students will be required to apply basic life support and advanced life support skills in a supervised clinical environment. Due to the diversity of the UK population within these 2 geographical areas, students will be able to meet and interact with a range of emergency services professionals and patients from different cultures, religions, ethnicities and who speak several different languages. Students will be responsible for all costs associated with this global trip. In addition to the opportunity for patient contact, students will develop an appreciation for international emergency medical systems and be able to compare and contrast the UK and Australian health and paramedic systems.
