Sometimes plans go a different way, industries change or you change your mind. Your Course Coordinator or Course Director can provide you with advice if you're interested in changing courses.
If you’ve accepted your offer and it’s before your first session starts or you are in your first session of study, you’ll need to complete a new application for admission with the new course you’d like to study.
Once you’ve completed your first session of study, you can submit a request to change to a different course.
If you are studying on an International Student Visa (on campus), you will need to submit a new Application for Admission as you cannot transfer courses.
If you wish to study one of these courses you will need to apply again. Some of these courses accept applications via UAC, while others are direct to Charles Sturt. For further details please view our Online Course Brochures.
If you're enrolled in a generic version of your course you can choose a specialisation or major.
Keep in mind:
For more information see the Admissions Policy
Moving up in an articulated set of courses is not an automatic process. As a current student you need to submit a request to continue your study to the next level.
Submit this request before the Census date of the Session in which you wish to start.
Check that you meet the admission requirements in the University Handbook
Studying Honours will give you a competitive edge in your career.
Eligibility is based on academic performance. If you're eligible to apply your faculty will usually invite you.

If you are an international student seeking to change your campus, you need to complete the Change to a Different Course form through the Student Portal before the start of the session.
Not all courses are offered at all campuses, so you will need to check that the course is available by internal mode on the new campus.
Once a decision has been made, International Enrolment and Partners will update your enrolment record and CoE (if approved) and communicate the outcome.
If you are an International student seeking to change from the generic version of your course into a specialisation, you will need to submit the Choose a Specialisation form through the Student Portal.
Like Campus Transfers, Specialisation Transfers cannot be processed in your first session of study. Applications that are submitted and approved in your commencing session will need to be applied to the following session of study (i.e., an application approved in 202430 session 1 will be processed for 202460 session 2).
Once a decision has been made, International Enrolment and Partners will update your enrolment record and CoE (if approved) and communicate the outcome.
