Charles Sturt University is a member of the Australian Institute of Sports Elite Athlete Education Network, and UniSport Australia’s Elite Student Athlete Pathway Program.
We have four categories in our program and a set of eligibility criteria for each sport.
Athletes participating at the highest level of their sport or activity. The University will grant Elite Athlete status to athletes who are:

Para and disability athletes are categorised in the same levels for their sport as listed above, unless their performance pathway differs Elite Sports Personnel category is included in the competition level categories above (ie. You need to be officiating, coaching etc at the same level) For the Elite Performer category, you’re considered an elite performer if you are a member of, and have had significant success in, a major artistic performing arts or production company at a national or international level. The above list of sports is not exhaustive for our eligible Elite Athlete and Performer Program sports categories. However, student athletes must be competing in Sport Australia funded sports, participating professional sports or UniSport Australia sports.
In order to be eligible you must be an active student at Charles Sturt University and be currently competing at the required level as indicated in the above table
For students who are representing another country outside Australia, the sport must be reflective of the same structure as outlined above, ie. their sport must be recognised and funded by their national sports governing body
