To perform a root canal, we'll do the following:
- Give you a local anaesthetic to make sure you don't feel any pain.
- Isolate your tooth with a rubber dam.
- Find the 'dental pulp' at the centre of your tooth, then remove and disinfect it.
- Filled the space with a material called gutta-percha.
- Seal the area to stop any bacteria from getting in.
- Add a filling or a crown on top, depending on the tooth.
