Create a Grade Readiness Report

Purpose

  • SAC meeting: agenda, minutes and approval.
  • Schools: determine what subjects are ready for grade transfer.

It is used by:

  • the SAC to process subjects. Comments and processing is done before the meeting, so there is ample time to discuss the main issues
  • the SAC secretary to generate minutes (contains all subject-based comments and the list of outstanding subjects).

Who has access

  • Head Of School.
  • SAC Member (School Assessment Committee).
  • Administrator.

How to create a Grade Readiness report (aka SAC moderation report)

  1. Click on Report (top right-hand corner).
  2. Choose Grade Readiness Report.
  3. Select Termcode. (Note: for multi-session subjects (MSS), the subject is only displayed if the final session matches the termcode. In the report, the intake termcode and MSS chip are shown to help identify when this happens.)
  4. Select school.
  5. Click submit.
  6. The Grade Readiness report is created online and will show a default number of entries but this number can be adjusted to 50, 100, or All at the bottom of the screen.
  7. A .csv file can be created by clicking the "Export CSV" (top right)

From the online report, click on the subject code to open the corresponding Moderation and Grades form. Use the “Add Note” feature to add comments. Then back in the Grade readiness Report screen press refresh for the comments (and any other actions) to be updated.

The Grade Readiness Report (which looks at grade finalisation) matches multi-session subjects based on their final session.

Subject-related comments

All subject-related comments that need to go into SAC minutes should be added via the 'Add note' feature:

  • Comments relating to the moderation or grades use 'Add note to M&G'.
  • Comments relating to Reflection and Planning (future changes) use 'Add note to R&P'.

For example:

  • If a subject needs to be remarked, then add a comment via the “Add note to M&G”.
  • If moderation has revealed a rubric needs improving, OR if the grade distributions reveal an excessive number of HDs then an appropriate, comment can be added via “Add note to R&P” so that the convenor can reflect on this and create action items if needed.
