Education Framework

Our Education Framework builds upon 30 years of leadership in online and regional experience. Drawing on our distinctiveness and strengths while ensuring high quality experience and outcomes for our students it guides our approach to learning and teaching at Charles Sturt.

The Education Framework builds academic quality into everything we do, connecting external and internal accreditation and governance requirements with our strategic direction. The Framework brings to life our commitment to high quality education for student success. Our Education Framework consists of the following:

  • Education Strategy: one pillar of the over-arching Charles Sturt 2030 Strategy, providing structure and guidance in how we will improve and maintain our sector leading position.
    • Education Strategy Vision 2030 (ESV) is now available. The ESV is one of the university’s key guiding documents. One that we will continue to reference to guide and prioritise our learning and teaching decisions and operations.
  • Academic Quality Policy: provides quality assurance and enhancement of its academic activities within the context of its statutory obligations and the university's strategic priorities.
  • Charles Sturt Education Principles: describes our current unique value proposition for students that aligns with our brand and education products in a meaningful way. (Still in development)
  • Curriculum Architecture Principles (CAPs): describe the structure of Charles Sturt’s courses, ensuring alignment with the qualifications awarded, and have been developed in alignment with AQF and HESF.
  • Charles Sturt Curriculum model: provides the practical ‘how-to’ for professional and academic teams to design, deliver and support exceptional learning experiences.
