Group feedback (Mentimeter)

Mentimeter is a cloud-based platform used for presentations and audience engagement.

Account holders can:

  • create an infinite number of presentations
  • share the content with live audiences
  • allow the audience to participate online in the activities presented.

You can access a Mentimeter enterprise licence as a Charles Sturt staff member. This means you can use the full suite of presentation and engagement tools available.

Why use Mentimeter?

  • It's intuitive. The Mentimeter interface makes building and launching activities and sharing them with a live audience easy.
  • Online audience engagement is critical for many educators as more students study online. Mentimeter is a great way to quickly involve your live audience in your teaching, with activities including:
    • ice breakers
    • brainstorming
    • changing perspectives over time
    • game-based learning.
  • It allows you to transition live online teaching away from purely didactic to a more collaborative delivery medium.
  • Mentimeter activities remain live until you stop them. You can use an HTML embed code to situate your live activity within other online platforms (e.g. inside your Brightspace subject sites). This means your activity can become asynchronous. Users can click on a voting portal link to provide their responses and see the impact of these choices via embedded results.
