This week you should review your textbooks and readings.

Disclaimer: subject preparation processes within and across Faculties/Schools can vary; the below pages are to be used as a guide only. In the first instance, refer to directives from Faculty and your School especially in relation to due dates.

Task 1

Textbooks: confirm details

  • Ensure textbooks listed in the Subject Outline are confirmed on the Textbook Confirmation webpage.
  • Ensure textbooks are referenced accurately with the correct title, author, publisher and edition in the SO and subject site.
  • Check Primo Search , to find if eBook options are available
  • eBooks for Teaching provides useful information on using an ebook for teaching
  • Direct students to the eBook Etiquette Video. The video outlines best practice for students when using eBooks.
  • If a new textbook is required support is available from choosing a textbook or contact your Library Faculty Team for assistance.
Task 2

Readings: review existing reading lists or readings

Leganto makes it easy to create, manage and evaluate your subject readings.

  • Check readings for currency and accurate citations.
  • Ensure the correct prescribed textbook is listed and add any new learning resources.
  • Ensure copyright compliance or contact for Library Faculty Team for assistance.
Task 3

Print only: submit request for eReserve and Reserve

Use our eReserve and Reserve services when essential readings are only available in print format. You can;

  • Request readings from print resources (1 chapter or 10% limit).
  • Request high demand items e.g. print only textbooks for on campus short-term loans.
