Educational design support

Need support developing your courses or subjects? Educational designers can help you develop learning experiences students will love.

Our Educational designers (EDs) are experts in learning experience design. They promote evidence-based teaching practice and incorporate educational technologies to develop innovative curriculum.

EDs work with Faculties, Schools, and academic staff to collaboratively design courses and subjects for blended and flexible learning environments. EDs also work collaboratively with Digital Media Technologists and Learning Resources Officers who are specialists in graphic design, video, media creation and subject site creation.

Educational designers can help you:

  • review and design courses
  • undertake Annual Course Health Checks
  • design subjects for online, blended, and face to face learning
  • engage with continuous improvement processes (including QUASAR)
  • evaluate curriculum, assessment and pedagogy
  • use course and subject analytics to improve teaching and learning
  • access professional learning to enhance course and subject design, development, and delivery
  • use educational technology for online, blended, and face to face learning
  • undertake strategic projects, including micro-credentials and open learning.
