The Subject Experience Survey (SuES) is how we formally evaluate subjects to gather student feedback on their learning experiences in a subject and to meet external reporting requirements for quality assurance purposes.
The Subject Experience Survey (SuES) is conducted online for every subject in every teaching period throughout the year. It provides academic staff with a valid and reliable information source with which to make informed decisions to foster student engagement and success.
The surveys allow our students to make their voices heard on important aspects of subject delivery, teaching practices and learning experiences.
Universities also have external reporting requirements for quality assurance and enhancement, and the SuES is the standardised instrument used across the institution to formally evaluate subjects to meet our regulatory and compliance obligations (HESF Domain 5: Section 5.3).
