As your knowledge of teaching develops, a scholarly approach to teaching helps you address teaching dilemmas to improve your students’ experience. One of the ways we can help support you is to have you undertake scholarly activity to reflect on your teaching. This also helps us meet the TEQSA standard of academic staff evidencing scholarly activities each year.
Engaging with and keeping up to date with advances in the field supports advances in ways of teaching and learning, professional practice and disciplinary knowledge through original research. TEQSA provides further information on what scholarship encompasses in its guidance note.
