Undergraduate University Medals

Undergraduate University Medals are awarded to graduating students who have achieved a grade point average of 6.75 or higher.

To be eligible you must:

  • be graduating from a Charles Sturt University bachelor degree or an integrated bachelor (honours) degree course;
  • have completed at least 64 points of study for the course at the University; and
  • have achieved a grade point average of 6.75 or higher.

Timeline and Process

As required Eligible graduands/graduates identified The Division of Students - Student Administration will generate a report as required to identify students who meet the eligibility criteria for an Undergraduate University Medal.
As required List of eligible graduands/graduates reviewed The Executive Dean (or delegate) will review the list of eligible students for their faculty and may decide to exclude any students that have a misconduct finding against them or for any other reason they determine necessary. Where a student is excluded for reasons other than misconduct, the reason for the exclusion must be reported to Academic Senate.
As required Medal Recipients Identified The Executive Dean (or delegate) will affirm the list of recipients and advise Division of Students - Student Administration and Academic Senate of the results.
August/December Medals Conferred Medal recipients are given the option to receive their medal at a graduation ceremony, or posted to them.
