I am pleased to announce that we recently completed enterprise bargaining negotiations after management reached an agreement with staff representatives. The agreement recognises the valuable contribution of our staff through improved salaries and employment conditions. This is a positive achievement and I would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved.
The agreement will be known as the “Charles Sturt Campus Services Enterprise Agreement 2019”, and will replace the current agreement known as the “Charles Sturt Campus Services Enterprise Agreement 2013”.
We will be making the Enterprise Agreement available to staff for a seven day access/consideration period from Friday 11 January 2019 to 5.00pm Friday 18 January 2019. This will be followed by a staff ballot commencing from period 5.00am Monday 21 January 2019 to 5.00pm Wednesday 23 January 2019. These steps are required as part of the approval process.

An Enterprise Agreement is the formal agreement on pay and conditions established jointly by Charles Sturt Campus Services (CSCS) and its staff. This Agreement takes place of Awards and agreements that would otherwise apply.
When a current agreement term is nearing its end date a process of negotiation between Charles Sturt Campus Services (CSCS) and staff, represented by relevant unions, takes place to form a new agreement. The unions representing staff at CSCS are the United Voice . This process of negotiating a new agreement is known as Enterprise Bargaining.
Once, an in principle agreement is reached, staff have the opportunity to vote on the agreement. If staff vote in favour, the agreement is then lodged with the Fair Work Commission (FWC). The FWC assesses and approves Enterprise Agreements.
