Each of our team leaders share their motivations for participating in the research and a brief summary of their teams’ aims and outcomes.
The SCATES (Securing Critical Agriculture Technology and Emerging Solutions) Project was initially led by Professor Zahid Islam, followed by Associate Professor Rafiqul Islam from Charles Sturt University.
As project leaders, they managed the entire project lifecycle by coordinating three key Work Package (WP) teams, led by Professor Mark Morrison, Charles Sturt University, Dr Arash Mahboubi, Charles Sturt University, and Associate Professor Leonie Simpson, Queensland University of Technology.
Zahid’s and then later Rafiqul’s key role was to foster collaboration, coordination and the effective completion of research findings. They also maintained regular communication with project partners, industry collaborators, and the funding body Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre.
As project leaders their efforts ensured smooth project execution, alignment with industry and farmer needs, and the practical application of research outcomes on Australia’s agricultural sector and reinforced CSU’s position as a leader in AgCyber research.
