We celebrate the achievements of our members who have received prestigious awards for their contributions to research.

Professor Lee Baumgartner

The inaugural Crawford Fund Award, NSW was presented to Professor Lee Baumgartner on 22 November 2023. The award recognises Australians who have made a significant and sustained contribution to international agricultural research.

Professor Andrew Clark

Professor Andrew Clark received the Wine Science and Technology Award, a top honour at the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology (ASVO) Awards in November 2023 for his research outputs and teaching in the wine industry.

Professor Dale Nimmo

Professor Dale Nimmo was the winner of the 2024 Australian Ecology Research Award. He is recognised for his expertise in fire ecology, with his work being identified by the Australian Research Council for its impact and twice being listed as a finalist for the Eureka Prize in Environmental Science (with the Mallee Fire and Biodiversity Project).

Professor Manoranjan Paul

Professor Manoranjan Paul is celebrating his FOURTH year in the World's Top 2% Scientists list! Stanford University and Elsevier celebrate leading minds in science through Top Scientist, incorporating citations, h-index and other bibliometric indicators for researchers worldwide.

Professor Shokoofeh Shamsi was awarded a 2024 Fellow of the Australian Society for Parasitology in recognition of her outstanding achievements and decades-long commitment to the field.

Professor Shokoofeh Shamsi has been recognized in the Stanford University/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List for 2024 across all disciplines!  Her main field is Biomedical research and her rank in the SubField 1 (Mycology & Parasitology): 128 out of 26928 authors.

Professor Leslie Weston

Professor Leslie Weston was elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science for her work in crop protection and sustainable pest management in 2023.
