Thermal sensors

Thermal sensors are another category of UAV sensor that are used to assess the relative surface temperature of land and objects that are not visible to the naked eye and to provide aerial thermal imaging for analysis and reporting (Yao et al., 2019).

Thermal images from UAVs have a greater temporal and geographical resolution than those received from satellites and are becoming a valuable source of information for agronomic applications (Ribeiro-Gomes et al., 2017).

Thermal infrared sensors assist in capturing the temperature  (Khanal et al., 2017) of objects, generating and displaying images depending on the data gathered, and are commonly used for crop growth monitoring and water
