Research Integrity
Charles Sturt University is committed to the highest standards of research integrity. Charles Sturt researchers and students are expected to conduct themselves and their research in accordance with the principles of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (the 2018 Code), and supported by University policy and procedure.
The 2018 Code sets out the broad principles that characterise an honest, ethical and conscientious research culture; and the responsibilities of researchers and the institution. Adherence to the 2018 Code is a prerequisite for the receipt of funding by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).
There are a number of guides provided by the NHMRC to support the 2018 Code which are designed to encourage responsible research conduct and include:
- Guide to Managing and Investigating Potential Breaches of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, 2018
- Authorship
- Management of Data and Information in Research
- Peer review
- Disclosure of interests and management of conflicts of interest
- Supervision
- Collaborative research
- Publication and dissemination of research
