Biography

Cheru Tesema Leshargie is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Epidemiology at the Rural Health Research Institute, Charles Sturt University. Cheru earned a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney, specializing in public health and epidemiology. His research spans infectious and chronic diseases, including cancer, maternal and adolescent health, human nutrition, and HIV/AIDS. With a strong background in evidence synthesis, data analysis, and expertise in qualitative and mixed research design, Cheru is dedicated to advancing health outcomes in rural and underserved populations. His work integrates multidisciplinary approaches to address pressing global health challenges, contributing to impactful research and public health improvements.
