Biography

Dr. Kabir completed his BSc degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, he worked at the Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh. He completed his MPhil degree in 2017 from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He completed his PhD Degree from Deakin University in 2020. He also worked at Aurecon Group as a digital insight researcher intern during the second year of his PhD study. He worked as a Research Fellow (Level B) at Deakin University from March 2020 to December 2022. He developed a novel machine-learning model named SpinalNet and worked on the autonomous convoy project. From January 2023 to November 2023, he worked as an independent researcher. He joined RHRI in December 2023. His research interests include machine learning, computer vision, uncertainty quantification, and imbalanced data. At RHRI he is developing uncertainty-aware models.
