Dr Shakeel Mahmood has more than two decades of experience in the field of health policy, quantitative and qualitative analysis, monitoring and evaluation framework and strategy at the International Health Research Organization (icddr,b), including Universities in Australia, Bangladesh and the United States of America. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Policy from the University of Newcastle, where he serves as a casual academic. He is also a visiting lecturer at Australian Catholic University.
Dr. Mahmood, a research fellow at Charles Sturt University Rural Health Research Institute, focuses on researching health policies and interventions that are culturally sensitive. His research aims to enhance health outcomes by ensuring that policy recommendations align with the context of service delivery in rural Australia.
