Biography

Sulaimon Idowu has a background in immunology and vaccination studies. Recent research has been focused on the use of mammalian cell culture, organoid cultures and mouse model of infection to study the effect of gastric hormones and cytokines in Helicobacter pylori-induced inflammation and in vaccine-induced protection against H. pylori. Current research is focused on the use of organoid cultures to understand the immune mechanisms of periodontal diseases.
