Can this count towards my WIL or work-integrated learning hours for my course?
Absolutely. It will depend on the required work-integrated learning in your course. At this stage, EMP subjects are approved for WIL hours for these projects.
How many hours is required to participate in these projects?
A total of 40 hours per project. This includes a series of sprints that take place online one day per week over a 6 week period.
When do I need to sign up by and when do the projects commence?

What does the project involve?
The Social Impact Project address significant social justice issues faced by vulnerable communities. Students work with leading community and industry partners to contribute to improving these social issues.
Is this all online?
Yes! You can join from anywhere via Zoom for all sessions.
What is work-integrated learning?
Work-integrated learning integrates theory with authentic, meaningful work practice. It partners with community or industry and is embedded within the curriculum. WIL is related to a student's study, development of employability, and citizenship. This could include placements, practicums, cadetships, internships, industry projects, or fieldwork.
