Skills for LANTITE – Writing is the second of two Studylink preparation subjects designed to address core literacy skills required by teachers to demonstrate the minimum standard as set by the Australian Government.

All students enrolled in an initial teacher education course are required to sit and pass the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education - LANTITE.

This subject will help you prepare to sit and pass the literacy component of your LANTITE test, and covers core literacy content in the content areas of:

  • Writing, including skills to recognise and explain punctuation, grammar and language features across a range of text types,
  • understand the structures of writing
  • help to improve spelling and vocabulary.
