Meet your subject convenor, Hector Rodriguez Valdes

I love guiding students through these subjects. The moment when a topic sparks student curiosity and engages their attention is the moment when they start to grow into thoughtful learners. The digital space is one where critical and ethical reasoning are essential. These are also things that I am passionate about.

Hector Rodriguez Valdes is a lecturer whose academic interests centre on philosophy, ethics, and critical thinking. He teaches Critical Thinking within the Charles Sturt Entry Course, where he engages students in thoughtful exploration of ideas so that they develop the analytical skills essential for university study. He is also interested in Artificial Intelligence, particularly its ethical implications and practical applications.

Podcasts allows us to connect with others through the power of audio building a personal relationship with an audience on a vast array of topics, limited only by our imagination. This preparation subject examines the fundamental steps in making a podcast including developing a concept, choosing a format, recording, editing, and uploading your content.

Coding Fundamentals 1

Coding Fundamentals 2

Cyber Security Foundations 1
