Battery recycling

Recycle your AAA, AA, C, D, Alkaline, Carbon-zinc, Lithium, Silver-zinc and Nickel-cadmium batteries.

Help protect the environment and reuse non-renewable metals by recycling batteries in the battery recycling containers located in the main office, reception or staff area of your building. Once the container is full, place it in the mailbag for collection (Bathurst and Wagga Wagga) or take it to the Sustainability Champion on your campus for recycling (Dubbo, Orange and Port Macquarie) or submit a pulse request (Albury-Wodonga). Find details on battery recycling on your campus from our Charles Sturt Battery Recycling Factsheet [pdf 165kb]

For new battery collection containers please contact Sustainability at Charles Sturt (sustainability@csu.edu.au) or submit a Pulse request through your area administrator.

For other battery types please get in touch with Sustainability at Charles Sturt.
