Partnership promises digital careers

An economic boost to the Bathurst region was revealed in November 2021 when IBM and Charles Sturt University announced a multi-year partnership designed to support local job creation, provide new career pathways for students, and accelerate digital skills development in regional NSW. The centrepiece of the partnership is the creation of a new IBM Client Innovation Centre (CIC) in Bathurst.

IBM plans to offer scholarships to our students, and assist in the co-creation of our courses, focused on the intersection of technology and business transformation for innovation. The partnership has been recognised for its support of local jobs and economies. When operational, the CIC aims to employ more than 300 professionals and support IBM client demand across Australia.
