The Rural Health Research Institute has been established to lead research on regional, remote, Indigenous and international health.
Under the leadership of Professor Anna Walduck, the Institute’s diverse core team of researchers and scientists with backgrounds ranging from medicinal chemistry, infectious diseases and immunology to epidemiology, mental health and addictions, health service delivery and health disparity will undertake research activities with local, national and international implications and significance. The Institute will work collaboratively with researchers, health professionals, industry and policymakers to address key challenges and build rural health research capacity.
